A coalition of leading European higher education organisations has jointly proposed amendments to the next Erasmus+ programme, urging policymakers to strengthen investment, governance and international cooperation to ensure the scheme remains fit for purpose in an increasingly competitive global environment. The proposals, presented by the European University Association (EUA) and 16 partner organisations, aim to shape the regulation governing Erasmus+ for the 2028–2034 period and reinforce its central role in advancing European education, mobility and skills development.
