UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) has unveiled a significant investment exceeding £500 million to support doctoral students across the UK. The initiative introduces two new schemes: the broad and flexible Doctoral Landscape Awards and the tightly focused Doctoral Focal Awards, which together replace the nine existing schemes for doctoral training. Both awards can support a number of different training programmes, providing a simple but flexible offer.
